Lake Tomahawk

There are days when we seem to be able to see better than other days. Reflecting on our lives can be similar. When we have our best vision of ourselves, our community, and our world, we would do well to take action on that vision. The rainstorms have cleaned the air and made for clearer vision and photography. Perhaps the storms of our life experience can do the same for us.

My photo of Lake Tomahawk in Black Mountain, NC reminds me of moments of clarity, and calls me to rest in the integrity of wise choices based on a clear vision.

Vista1

Mountain scenic views, like this one along the Blue Ridge Parkway in Western North Carolina, rest the eyes, inspire noble thoughts, and restore the soul of all those who treasure mountain landscapes.

May we endeavor to live lives such that others who observe our life story will find rest, inspiration, and restoration.

Beaver Lake to Ponder

Often, when I go to Beaver Lake, I go to ponder life and new choices to make for the future. May you enjoy days to ponder in places where you can relax, refresh, and be restored.

Fanciful Landscape

Enjoying fanciful landscapes happens best when we are able to engage on the journey within that scene. If not possible to walk the path, then we can engage with the emotions that the image provokes and respond with actions that are inspired by those emotions and the new thoughts they bring forth.

This original oil on canvas 1834 painting by Thomas Doughty is titled Fanciful Landscape. Minimal digital image alterations have been made to renew and enhance image.
