Nature and Landscape Photos I’ve taken serve as moments of remembrance and reflection. Many times, as I am drawn to observe some aspect of nature, I am also invited by my observation to ask how my life is like this nature focal point. Then I am grateful for this moment of self-awareness and encouraged to grow personally. So, it is my hope that my photo images can also be a source of inspiration for others.
There are days when the view from the field gives cause to pause, reflect, and ponder the beauty in life. Sometimes, even reflecting back over the hard times of our lives can be an occasion for acknowledging the genuine kindness of others, (friends, family, or strangers). Perhaps we become more aware of how resilient we or others were in those hard times. Reclaiming our inner strength and outer supports can renew us as we take a fresh view from the field of life experience.
Trees in the field see it all and keep growing. Storms rise up and move on, still trees persist as long as they can.Tree roots dig deep and branches with leaves look up with purpose.
May we remember to grow, requires daily maintenance of personal digging deep and looking up with purpose.

A sunrise illuminates the morning fog in the valley, as the sun comes above the horizon. For those who wait patiently, the fog will lift and dissipate to reveal the valley and mountain scenery before us.
There are times in our lives when we see things more clearly and begin to understand how we may not have been fully aware of some truth that has always been present about ourselves.Perhaps it is best to not spend all that much time berating ourselves for not previously seeing more clearly. Instead, we can celebrate the beauty of our new awareness and choose a better way, in light of that which has been revealed.

As I travel a mountain pathway, my thoughts are at once captured by the sights, sounds, smells, and the sense that my presence communes with the space I move through. Each moment my observation is keen for that which grabs my attention. Upon awareness of such an encounter, I pause and more fully observe as much detail as possible. Only then, I ask myself questions about how my life may be represented by what I observe.
By observing closely and asking questions, I open myself up for analysis as well. Listening is crucial to beginning a deeper journey in the woods, my life, and in relationships with others. May we all learn to observe more closely, ask genuine questions, and listen as much to our innerscape as our outerscape life experiences.
A mountain pathway hike frees my thoughts and prepares me for a new way of thinking. This photo art creation is based on my photo, but I have made some digital revisions to give it a waterpixel effect.
This image, and many others, are available in many product formats, in my online photo art store and gallery.
